Educational, fun and interactive. A great experience to work as a team in a winery close to Barcelona.

Learn the art of this bubbly beverage at a 1000yr old estate!

Wow--visiting ArtCava on a recent mother-daughter trip to Barcelona was truly a highlight! We were privileged to have this stop included on a full-day tour with Barcelona Day Tours. I was absolutely blown away by the amazingly intimate 1000-year-old estate.

When Your Hen Wants To Celebrate Abroad…

Recent research shows that Barcelona, Ibiza and Dubai are all firm favourites. It’s all in the planning when you decide to take the party abroad, get ahead of the pack and think outside the box for the most fun.Move over wine tasting, for 2015 it’s all about Cava. To prove it we recently celebrated a hen with some added fizz in Barcelona. Where we found Art Cava, a small but perfectly formed winery in the the Penedés region.

A familiar treatment with an excellent homemade meal

Amazing visit, not for the grandeur of the space, but for the proximity and friendliness during the visit, with clear and simple explanations. In addition, the possibility of entering the workshop to learn and bottling your own bottle of cava, is really fun and unthinkable in the large rigid cavas in the area. The familiar treatment with an excellent homemade meal, washed down with an authentic cava, were the finishing touch for our business outing.

Our tour was with Eric Enguita Albet, who is one of the owners of the ArtCava. My wife is the Cava fan and to be honest, I did not have an understanding of what Cava was relative to other sparking wines or champagnes. However, this...More

We visited Artcava as part of another tour and were so happy! Our guide was hilarious and knowledgable. He made the tour. The grounds are deceptive but once inside the facility you realize how cool this experience is. The Cava was amazing to try and the pours were generous. I was so happy to buy a t-shirt and bottles of Cava to enjoy for the rest of my time in Barcelona. Without a doubt, this hidden gem is worth your time and effort to get here. I CANNOT WAIT to return! BTW, kids were welcome and were provided juice and snacks. I would not take young kids because there is some historical dialogue and listening to history but my young teens (13 and 11) loved the experience because the guide interacted with them the entire time.

Amazing experience and opportunity to try spectacular Cava from a small producer in the Penedes region of Catalonia. After being met at the train station by one of three partners, Ramon, we were given an introduction of the region and then a tour of the...More
