We made this our first stop out of three wine tours in the region, and nothing else even came close. From the moment we arrived, the cava, the welcoming atmosphere, and the stunning interior completely set the bar sky-high and left the other two wineries in the dust.

A huge shout-out to Santi; he truly made the experience unforgettable. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, but he was also absolutely hilarious and engaging, turning the tasting into so much more than just sipping cava. His passion and energy elevated the entire visit, and he made us feel like old friends rather than just guests.

The Brut was our favorite, but honestly, every single cava we tried was first-class. If you’re visiting the area, do yourself a favor and start (or end!) your tour here; you won’t find a better cava, or a better host, anywhere.

Lejos quedan los ruidos de la civilización. Aquí escucharás cantar a los pájaros, quizás algo de música en la terraza, degustando un buen vino o cava de la bodega bajo las moreras. Los propietarios son la amabilidad personificada, educados y acogedores. El acceso se hace por un pequeño camino de tierra hasta el parking de coches, primero. Pero si viajas en autocaravana, continúa el camino, dejando la casa a la izquierda, hasta el final, donde se abre una explanada con inmejorables vistas a los viñedos y a la montaña sagrada de Montserrat. Es seguramente la mejor opción si quieres tomar un descanso en la ruta y conocer de primera mano los productos locales. Artcava es un lugar seguro y relajante al que volver una y otra vez. No podemos agradecer suficiente que hayan pensado en el colectivo de autocaravanistas y su generosidad al compartir este pedazo de cielo con nosotros.

How to get here from Barcelona?

Artcava winery is located near the Lavern-Subirats train station, in the Penedès wine region. The train journey takes approximately 40 minutes from Sants station (in the center of Barcelona). We can pick you up at the station and take you to the winery (it’s about a 5 minutes drive) and of course back to the station once the visit is over.

For groups of more than 12 people, we recommend direct transport from Barcelona (we will provide you prices and service).

What’s included in the experience?

Includes: Tour + tasting of 3 Palagó cavas + disgorgement workshop + one bottle of cava as a gift.
Price: €60/person (2 to 20 people).
Duration: 3 hours.
Availability: Year-round.
Schedule: 10:30 to 13:30.

Can I book for large groups?

Yes! ArtCava welcomes groups of all sizes. For groups of up to 20 people, you can book directly through our form. For groups of more than 20 people, or companies looking for a team building activity or corporate event, get in touch with us for a personalized proposal. Do you speak English?

We offer visits in Catalan, Spanish, and English. All our guides speak the three languages fluently, so you can book with complete confidence whatever your language or that of your guests.
